You cannot Avoid Air Pollution.

As much as we would all like to, you cannot avoid air pollution. You can diminish your exposure to it as much as possible, but you cannot get rid of it completely.
However, we should do everything we can to familiarize ourselves with these chemicals so we can know how to stay healthy throughout our exposure to them.

The Most Common Chemicals you Breathe in.

Particle Matter

This is the grouping of all large particles that you will be breathing in your home. These are large enough that they can often be filtered into near non-existence, but they are still outside and everywhere.

Particle Matter includes:

Dust
Fungus
Pollen
Allergens

Ozone

Yes, the Ozone, these are three oxygen atoms joined together. On the ground level, ozone can be seen as fog, haze, or smog and when exposed to can cause irritation and inflammation.

Nitrogen Dioxide

Nitrogen dioxide typically comes from vehicles, industrial complexes, gas heaters, and gas stoves. Additionally, exposure to these can cause lung infections and trigger asthma.

Carbon Monoxide

Carbon Monoxide is one of the most common dangerous chemicals that can be avoided. With a carbon monoxide detector, you can find a leak before it happens in your home and these can cause serious health effects if left unchecked.

Sulphur Dioxide

Sulfur Dioxide is much more difficult to come into contact with and is often formed by power plants and industrial facilities. You won’t run much of a risk of running into this unless you are near decomposing materials in nature.
